Turning Toward

The practice of ally work is a turning toward.

A turning toward the mystery.

Three years into the practice, I understand it even less, and am enveloped in it even more.

There is no separation, between the ally and the divine.

The mind makes separation. We enter into the mystery.

In this journey there is a calling to become. To be. To turn toward.

What are we turning toward?

What have we forgotten? What is our succor, our sanctuary, our support?

Turning toward is with our faces, our hearts.

Toward the mystery, the not-knowing, the complexity, the subtle.

Everyone has their private face to the divine. All insight, differentiated, non-repeating.

Turning toward is always alive, the Old in the New.

Turning toward, the words fall away, I feel the breath, now constricted, now flowing.

Turning towards, I see that every day is a new beginning. Turning towards, I write these words.
